Journalism Student

I completed the Journalism Certificate program at Langara College, where I developed a strong foundation in reporting, copy-editing, photography, and TV/radio production. As a reporter for The Langara Voice, I wrote news and feature articles, covered live events on and off campus, conducted interviews with a diverse range of sources, and contributed to both podcast and video segments. I honed my ability to research thoroughly, verify facts quickly, and shape compelling narratives under pressure. I also gained practical experience in audio editing, scripting for broadcast, and working collaboratively in a fast-paced newsroom environment. Through hands-on newsroom experience, I learned how to pitch stories, meet tight deadlines, and adapt content for multiple formats—skills that continue to shape my work as a communicator, storyteller, and media professional.
