After nearly three years of living on Vancouver Island, I’ve come to deeply appreciate the natural beauty and close-knit community that make this place so special. I’m based in Victoria’s Maplewood neighbourhood—surrounded by quiet, tree-lined streets and just a short drive from the coastline. From exploring the rugged beaches of Tofino and Ucluelet to enjoying fish and chips on the pier in Sidney, I’ve had the chance to experience the island’s incredible variety and charm.
I love hiking and discovering coastal paths—Sooke Regional Park is one of my favourite spots for getting outdoors and soaking in the Island’s scenery.
Living here has given me a strong sense of place and a desire to give back to the community. I’m passionate about helping local businesses grow and thrive, using my years of experience in marketing and communications. I also have a background in journalism, holding credentials from both Canada and the UK. My experience includes reporting for The Langara Voice and covering major film festivals such as London, Venice, and Berlin.

I have a strong background in journalism, having earned certifications in both Canada and the UK. I completed the journalism certificate program at Langara College, where I developed expertise in writing, editing, copy-editing, multimedia production, photography, and TV/radio production. As a reporter for The Langara Voice, I researched and wrote articles, covered live events, conducted interviews, and contributed to podcasts and videos for the digital edition. As a freelance film journalist, I expanded my skills by covering major festivals such as London, Venice, and Berlin, writing in-depth reviews, conducting interviews with key industry figures, and producing engaging content for diverse audiences.
Publishing & Educational Services Experience
I’ve spent several years in publishing, marketing academic and trade books, and digital resources for global audiences. At Routledge (Taylor & Francis), I developed marketing strategies for reference books, boosting international sales.
